This is not necessarily a program I’d suggest you replicate.  The contents of my training prior to breaking the 1k World Record were dependent on my goal, but also my genetics, age, athletic history and lifestyle.  Sometimes training was adjusted because I was sick or when fatigue accumulated beyond a certain threshold, I rested.  This type of interruption, be it life or otherwise, is unlikely to be encountered by you with the same scheduling as it did for me.  

I suggest not attempting to replicate the exact training for the aforementioned reasons, but if the 1000m is your target you will likely glean some useful information.  I wanted to share this training diary because it’s something I’d personally want to read. 

This is not a program - it’s the 12 weeks of training leading up to a WR and some explanation for the process.
